Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LeapLetter (leapletter.co), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the service.

2. Service Description

LeapLetter generates AI-powered cover letters and career preparation documents using information you provide (your resume and a job posting). The service combines automated company research with AI writing to produce customized documents. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use LeapLetter for fraudulent job applications or to misrepresent your qualifications
  • Upload resumes or content that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to circumvent payment, rate limits, or generation caps
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers beyond normal browser use
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
  • Resell or sublicense generated documents without written permission

You are solely responsible for the content of your uploaded resume and for verifying the accuracy of generated documents before submitting them as part of any application.

4. Plans and Pricing

  • Single ($4.99): One tailored cover letter with company research, 3 tone options, 1 redo, and 1 resume optimization.
  • Pro ($14.99/month): 10 letters per month, 2 redos per letter, transferable skills analysis, interview talking points, and 5 resume optimizations per month.
  • Pro+ ($29.99/month): 20 letters per month, 5 redos per letter, full interview prep suite (expected questions, questions to ask the hiring manager, hiring manager review), and 10 resume optimizations per month.

We offer monthly plans only. We do not offer annual subscriptions because we believe most users will find what they are looking for within a few months.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing or plan limits with notice. Service abuse may result in throttling or account suspension.

5. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel anytime through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, effective at the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

Refunds are available only if the service fails to generate your documents due to a technical error. If payment was processed but documents were not delivered, contact us for a full refund or a free generation credit. We do not issue refunds based on subjective content quality, as single purchases include a free redo and subscribers can generate again from their allowance.

6. Document Delivery and Retention

Generated documents are available for download directly from the results page once generation completes. If you provided an email address, documents are also sent to you as PDF attachments when email delivery succeeds. Please keep the browser tab open until generation finishes, and use the retry controls if the results page reports that selected deliverables are still recoverable. Downloads are available on our site for 24 hours. After 24 hours, documents are permanently deleted from our servers. Your resume is processed in memory on our servers and is not stored in our long-term databases. Temporary server-side retry checkpoints may keep resume and job data for roughly 2 hours so interrupted generations can resume without starting from zero. Your browser may temporarily keep the most recent selected resume locally for up to 30 days so checkout, login, refresh, or retry flows can continue without forcing another upload. That browser-local resume cannot be restored by us from your account or another device. We retain limited account, billing, usage, operational, and support metadata as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All documents produced by LeapLetter are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality, the content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or information that does not fully represent your qualifications. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before using it in any application. LeapLetter does not guarantee that generated documents will result in interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your uploaded resume and to the documents generated for you. LeapLetter retains ownership of its name, logo, website design, and underlying technology. You may use generated documents for personal job applications without restriction.

9. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or specific results from using generated documents.

10. Limitation of Liability

LeapLetter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim in the preceding 12 months.

11. Account Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, service abuse, or operational disruption. Accounts terminated for cause are not eligible for refunds.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
